LOCATION: Okemo Village, Ludlow VT

In 2023 we completed a massive renovation to this 22-unit condominium building, elevating it with a modern ski lodge look & improving it to hold up in Vermont’s harsh weather.

Cross Construction Company began the First phase inside, repairing water damage from a failed roof. Enhancing this property to withstand the ever-changing VT climate was a priority; which was fitting, because we were about to experience the most rainy summer the state had ever seen. In May, CCC moved on to the exterior, giving it a serious face lift. This included new roofs, new windows and exterior doors, and new vinyl siding and PVC exterior trim. CCC also designed larger entrances for each unit fit with ski lockers and storage areas. Cosmetically, we added wood soffits and stained wood timber brackets to give the look of a modern ski lodge. Despite the historic downpours and flooding of 2023, CCC came in on time and budget in Jan. 2024 leaving 22 owners happily enjoying their newly renovated complex.

Owner/Project Manager: Rick Cross

Cross has over 30 years of experience in the Construction industry, building custom homes in California, Texas, and Vermont. He started at the early age of 16, attending building trade classes in high school. After graduation, Cross had the opportunity to build a custom home in California for 2 years, solidifying his passion for homebuilding. He handed off the keys to the Owner, and made the move to Texas where he met his current wife, and worked for a local custom homebuilder for 3 years before starting his own business. This company built 8 custom homes in Rockwall TX. Cross moved back to Vermont in 1999 where he has been growing his network of local architects, designers, and subcontractors as an Estimator for 20 years. The call to create his own custom projects lead him to open Cross Construction Company, serving the Okemo Valley area in South-Central Vermont. Cross Construction is all about doing the most while staying within budget and schedule. Just like Rick, the company values clear communication and support from start to finish!

Seamless window reno

cozy custom design & build

LOCATION: Plymouth VT

Carefully removed 14 windows, then installed new Pella windows and flashing. To keep the sleek, no-trim look of this home, we seamed in the new siding at the Owner’s request. We finished off this project by replacing and painting all interior trim. Cross and Pella Windows will be completing a similar project on a custom home in Ludlow VT Spring 2024.

LOCATION: Ludlow VT

Designed and built this 3,700sf home with 600sf attached, heated garage. We added radiant floor heat to reduce fuel consumption, and cement board siding to keep maintenance low. This home boasts 14' living room ceilings, a custom kitchen, tile floors & showers, and Pella windows throughout. Total project time was 9 months.
